Social and wellbeing services offers various types of free services:

  • Friendly visits 
  • Telephone assurance 
  • Group exercise classes (Tuesdays and Thursdays, at the Hub)
  • Gentle yoga stretch 
  • Senior Centre Without Walls

Whether you want to receive a call or visit from a volunteer, or you would like to volunteer to call others, it is a great way to meet new people and make connections. Share activities, interests or stories with an individually matched volunteer.

Providing the piece of mind of a daily or weekly check in call.

Join us for group exercises sessions specially designed for seniors and people affected by Parkinson to improve strength, balance and mobility. Chair exercises, with some standing for balance. Sessions available in person in section 'G' of the Aline-Chrétien Health Hub (2225, Mer-Bleue Road).

  • For Seniors (60+): 1:15 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • For people living with Parkinson: 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Treat your mind and body and take some time for self care by joining us for Gentle Yoga Stretch. Currently available online.

Provides the opportunity for participants to join in on health and wellness seminars, educational lectures, brain-stimulating activities, listen to live musical entertainment, join in on general conversations – all from the comfort of home! Programs are multi-person phone conversations (or conference calls). No special equipment needed – just your average phone!
